I am sorry but I can't agree. Chan is VERY talented. Maybe he is boring but technically he is very good, his spins are good, his skating skills are amazing. If his jumps become more consistent he will be unbeatable. It's wrong to underestimate him because he really is an worthy opponent.

I don't dispute the fact that he has talent...he wouldn't be where he is if he didn't. I just wasn't feeling it, and I expected a lot more considering the pre-Olympics hype about him.

Anyway, I don't dismiss Chan as a worthy opponent, but I can't see where he has that extra something it takes to have a truly exceptional record and talent like Evgeni does. As far as unbeatable, maybe one day, but I don't think so as long as Plushy is still in the game (and he is as far as I am concerned because there is no way the ISU is going to ban him forever from competing).

Dimi: Comparing the two is unavoidable because Chan himself put it out there that he believes he has more to offer FS than Evgeni Plushenko.

nobody will do the record of evgeni any more, first because once in a blue moon there is such skater born and also because fs has changed and it doesnt encourage someone to distinguish himslef from the pack..nevertheless Chan with no quad beated Joubert at worlds who did 2 quads, i say his style is the trend now and he is dangerous. ;)

Really, sometimes I think that sports commentators go too far, scrambling on mirrors for selling their works to newspapers, ah! Plush doesn't need a mix with Chan, he already has something yellow... his olympics gold medal!
