Maybe you remember this video? Plushy talks with little Elena Radionova (then 11 years old), before his show "Kings on ice", 31.03.2010 in Moscow...

Plushy asked Elena if she the train every day. When she confirmed, Plushy said that as long as there are such hardworking children, figure skating will exist forever! He wished luck to Elena in the future...

2 years later... Elena Radionova overwhelmingly won today on the Junior Grand Prix in Courchevel!

Russian Elena Radionova did not leave any chance to her rivals in the short program at her debut Junior Grand Prix event. In French Courchevel she performed flawlessly her short program consisting of very difficult and high level spins, step sequences, spirals and a triple – triple jumping combination.

No less impressive was the choreographic component of her short program. Another impressive thing is that her SP Technical Element Score 36.61 is above what is required for a male skater at the World Championships....

В ПП он откатал чисто с квадом и 2 тройными акселями и получил 170 баллов. Но с его прокатом короткой.... быть после нее вторым – были люди, которые откатали короткую лучше чем он." Of course, Canada's two-time world champion isn't the only skater Brezina must contend with. To add the 2013 European title to his resume -- his best finish at the event is fourth, in 2010 and 2012 -- he must defeat Evgeni Plushenko, who seems to regard Europeans as his personal property.

The 2006 Olympic champion, who owns seven European golds, has already announced to the Russian media that while he will not compete on the 2012 Grand Prix circuit, he will defend his European title in Zagreb in January.

"Zhenya (Plushenko) is a great skater; I've done a lot of shows with him, and he's a great guy," Brezina said. "But nobody really agreed with the [judging] in the short at Europeans last season. In the free, he did a clean program with a quad and two triple Axels, and that deserved 170 points. But to be second after the short, with what he skated ... there were people who skated better shorts than Zhenya. (Plushenko did not do a quad in his short.)

"Still, though, skaters like me and Javy [Fernandez] and Tommy (Tomas Verner) have to skate clean and show Zhenya, 'You were great; it's our time now.' If we don't, then he can come back any time. As long as we just step aside and let him pass, he will still be there."

This is just the writer of the article and not Brezina, but I still wanted to say this is another one of those little bits in the way some (okay, mostly NA) people write about Evgeni that irritate me. Evgeni never acted or acted as if he was "entitled" to any of his titles, Europeans or otherwise. Just the opposite.

As for the judging of the SP...Well, I don't mind if Brezina disagrees with it himself, but I think he's going to have to be a lot more specific and convincing if he was intending to speak for everybody else. It is true that Evgeni was unable to do the quad in the SP (and as he himself said several times, that wasn't his level, and he was never claiming that he expected to win with that particular set of jumps), but I also seemed to remember people choking left and right during the SP....As for people who "skated better shorts" than Evgeni, well, yes,I think Artur did. So I guess what I mean is, I don't agree with him.

Кого он имеет в виду? Вернера, Амодио Уж во всяком случае не Фернандеса, Жубера и, надеюсь, не самого себя .

Вот! А на русскоязычных форумах некоторые клоуны говорили, что не заслуживал .

Until now, I not heard any complaints on Plushy's SP scores. Now, in few days ago - i find out his statement and one post on FSU forum... interesting, right?
Do we need expect soon another campaign against Plushy... AGAIN?!
