Mishin expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that Patrick Chan with three falls, received the highest scores for the program components, formerly named "artistic".
"I want to appeal to the judges - said the coach. - Patrick Chan is a great skater, I love him very much and admire his skill. He is a great master of skating, he has excellent transitions in programs. And for these components, put to him, dear judges, ten points. But how can there be a high scores for the execution of a program, in which he three times lay flat? But for all the other things, not should be given maximum points automatically!
Chan has rather modest choreography, interpretation of the image. What was noted by experts in Japan. Give him GOE for jumps - "plus one", "plus two" - only because of the fact that he skate well, it is also wrong. And in the spins, he also does not show anything unique. Judges should pay attention to it, and put to Chan's high scores, only in components in which he is really strong."
By the opinion of specialists, established situation "do not push skating forward". "If we come to the essence of the problem, I will say this: we know, that in the interpretation of the image and the choreography, hardly anyone could come close to Evgeni Plushenko" - said Mishin. "So, then give him also, by analogy, and for skating technique, and for transitions, and for the spins, maximum scores."
Oooooh!
I was waiting someone whit authority who do this question.
Respect for Chan and I'm not an expert and can't judge the rest of elements, but Chan falled 3 time at Japan Open! It's too much! Ad he didn't show wonderful spins like Lambiel or a fast step-sequence like Plushenko can do... I'm not a judge but I can see the difference!
Now, I'm scared about this victory whit 3 falls... if Chan can win whit 3 falls, he'll can do the same at world championship and get a good score too?
What do you think about?
