Somewhere wrote:"I just happen to think that the the big scandal of this event isn't the winner's decision not to do a quad, but poor sportsmanship and vulgar advocacy (by Stojko and Putin and other Plushenko supporters) and viciousness and disrespect towards Lysacek."
Why they can not express his opinion - there is now, that famous "freedom of speech"?
What connection Plushy have with it, who supports him? Is it Putin and Stojko some criminals? Does the prime minister of a country can not congratulates to his compatriots - why it is treated as "political threat" to another country? Is a world champion can not have a good assessment of what is the future of skating? ... I have a lot more questions, and all are linked to that in "Plushy's eyes note (and criticized) little sprinkling, and in others do not see the beam"...
... and what, if PLushy gave a few hasty and honest statements in one moment? ... Lysaek while continuing to spread around in a good mood, fine education and "class", not ceasing to talk extensively about "how he was disappointed with Plushy" (as if they were best friends) ...
Who's more churlish - the one who has won and continues to talk about an opponent who has lost, or a man who thinks that is undeserved second, not because of mistakes of opponents, than because of errors in the rules? Is a triple world champion and winner of 3 medals at the Olympics has no right to speak about the future of skating - is it only allowed to politicians in skating federations??
So, let it Lysacek be really" polite" - stop with whinning, be happy with that why he have.... and not continued with buring "his idol" .. if it ever was....
http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2010/02/ly ... ts_st.htmlU.S. figure skating gold medalist Evan Lysacek appeared on Larry King Live tonight, medal in tow, and King made sure to bring up the recent comments from Russian silver medalist Evgeni Plushenko...
We actually felt sort of bad for Evan (well, as bad as you can feel for an attractive gold-medal-winning Olympian) when he talked about how it felt to hear these sort of complaints from someone he considers a "hero.":
“It just stings a bit,” he said. “And I've tried really hard to not feel like it's a personal attack, but it's starting to feel that way. And coming from a stranger, it wouldn't bother me, but coming from somebody I really look up to … ”
....
.. there is and video ... nya-nya-nya... "Hollywood soap"
