Cinquanta has to be careful, on forums already appeared rumours than In Sochi the judging would be corrupt in order to allow Russians to win medals. You know I don´t like him but I understand why he is cautious when it comes to Russians strengthening their team.

Which forums - N/A forums? :du_ma_et: Whether they had similar doubts and for the "North American" 2010 Olympic? :)-(: Either just completed Worlds in Russia is not eliminated their paranoia? :ps_ih:

P.S. but I noticed long ago the same pattern - when they do something scam, after (during) that immediately begin to shouting and accusing the other for their own "sins" :)-(: ... so, and not knowing why - you can find yourself bathed in their saliva. :plush44: And when you try to wash yourself, they are insulting - because of your "unsportsmanlike behavior" - which can be expected: "since you are a "savage", as opposed to them". :ps_ih:

Well girls, there's another news that I must give you ...
During the live from Moscow, Mr. Ottavio Cinquanta was the guest of the Italian commentator (the very good Franca Bianconi), and on this occasion he made a joke that I didn't like at all.
They were commenting on the great success of the Russians in this competition (the three pairs of dance raised on the podium are all coached by Russians).

OC: The Russians are ever-present, since the best dance coaches in the world are Russian.
Commentator: Today, the Chicago Tribune talked about a 'dynasty', that's to say there's a dynasty because the Russians coaches have created a kind of 'kingdom'.
OC: Well, about a Russian kingdom, better to go easy with it... let's try not to go back to the Tsars!
Commentator (laughing): But they are organizing themselves for Sochi 2014!

I also listened to this interview.
Italian commentor Franca Bianconi, after Chan's sp, also said: "I dont know why its not possible to use 10 because in the past system judges used 6".
After Takahashi's sp, the journalist (she began lately to follow skating) Arianna Secondini said to Bianconi: "Chan was fantastic but Takahashi has more charisma, more interpretation, he's better than Chan in this aspect. Maybe they have different style".
So Bianconi had to say: "yes, Chan's skating skills are better but Takahashi's interpretation is better of course".
Result? Judges didnt agree..... :nel-zya:
I dont want to say anything else.

Unfortunately, Lelo, judges don´t pay too much attention to interpretation or performance. That´s why they give Chan 10s for interpretation and not for SS, even it´s absolutely clear his SS are better than the interpretation. In my opinion they judge PCS based on skater´s reputation, the reputation of his choreographer and the technical score of the program. :plush30:

Well Girls, I wanna think that Cinquanta's joke about the "return of Tsars" was only a joke without hidden meanings... :plush34:
I must confess, I haven't loved his joke because I'm already badly struck by the manners and statements of this man who, given the important role he occupies, should pay more attention to the words he uses - IMO. During the same competition I've already seen him laughing while Takahashi was eating his heart out because of the blade's accident, not mentioning the sad comment about Alena's costume... The ISU's head shouldn't be more respectful towards athletes?...

Women's free figure skating final logs 29.3% viewer rating

TOKYO (Kyodo) -- The broadcast in Japan over the weekend of the world figure skating championships' women's free skating, in which Japan's Miki Ando clinched a come-from-behind victory over Olympic champion Kim Yu Na of South Korea, recorded an average TV viewer rating of 29.3 percent in the Tokyo area, a ratings agency said Monday.

In Ando's hometown of Nagoya and surrounding areas, the rating for the program aired Saturday night showing the Moscow competition was 35.4 percent, while in the Osaka area it was 28.3 percent, Video Research Ltd. said.

The ratings were higher than the average viewership in all three regions for the broadcast of the wedding ceremony of Britain's Prince William and Kate Middleton on Friday evening, according to the agency.
