You have the eye of an eagle alyson!!!!
It was a sec on TV but you captured it!!

I saw it just because I was looking for the reason he fell so often and so badly (also during the steps sequence!), I knew he is much better than that! So, here's the answer: one of his ice skates was broken!

Did you hear that Van der Perren was thinking of quitting the ice before this recent European Championship??
Fortunately for us he did not!!

Thank goodness, it would be a shame! He is not a dancer, he's not very fast during the steps sequences, he lacks components, but he's a warrior, a strong jumper, he lands powerful and very clean jumps, and the limits of components are balanced by the great charisma that oozes from every pore: the beauty of his body, the posture, the costumes and the music he chooses make him a stunning God of War!

I join your "pirates fan club"
I like that performance. It is something that will be rembered for a long time.
I also like if a little acting is included in the skating. I really admire them for doing this besides all the jumps, spins and footwork.

And because I appreciate this I still try to decipher Gachinski´s LP. I listened to the whole ballet several times and I still love the music. I also watched Brian Orser´s LP 1988 in Calgary where he used the same music. But he didn´t act much and I did not like it. In the meantime I have some ideas. If I find time I write them down.

And because I appreciate this I still try to decipher Gachinski´s LP. I listened to the whole ballet several times and I still love the music. Although I don´t like Artur´s program very much, the choreography is a little bit weird imo, a like how Artur skated to it much more than Brian Orser.

In other words, Zhenya is ABOVE all competition and any potential comparison is....out of the question.
He is the King, as simple as that!
However, watching Kevin skate makes me think of that song. Although I have a small suspicion (how small you may ask) that his skating is dynamic but not sensual enough, in order to interpret that song.....
What do you think eagle-eyed alyson??

Shape is a major issue for a woman (in every sense spiritual and bodily) so....I will take the word "great" as real compliment.
By the way Zhenya is my inspiration, as you can imagine.
I agree about Kevin. He has a dynamic aura and also the aura of ...the "nice guy". But of course this doesn't provoke imagination to fly away. FAIR ENOUGH. He is a good skater and excellent athletic skating is what we are all into, anyway.
By the way, I saw a repetition (re-emmission) of the Europeans on Greek TV and I had the chance to see the mens SPs again.
Now, Artur danced to Pink Floyd's "Money". I find this to be an excellent and very sophisticated choice for a17 year old skater. Now that everyone is copying Zhenya's choices of Michael Jackson. In addition to that he is very well trained and very strong. He held on to jumps which were very high. He is in for a medal in some years from now.
So, what do you think alyson, what about Pink Floyd??

As I already said on this Forum, I find that Artur Gachinski is an excellent athlete, in my opinion. I don't like yet the artistic side of his work, but he's still very young, so I don't like to judge him for that, right now: let's wait another year, at least, then I will able to tell you something about him! I hope it makes sense for you, sadly I don't speak English, I use the online translator, so I'm not sure that my words are always clear!
As for the Pink Floyd matter... I love their music, they are the Kings of Progressive Rock, wow! You quoted the Gachinski's program, "Money". I reply quoting another Pink Floyd's famous song taken from the same album, "Time", skated by a nice 19-year-old guy... But please, don't say that I'm obsessed with Brian Joubert: it's just a matter of music! Furthermore, this program is a painful memory for a adoring Plushy-fan like me, 'cause at the 2004 Europeans Champs Joubert got the gold, and our Zhenya "only" the silver...
