Mao Asada Aims for Quadruple Jump
Olympic silver medalist Mao Asada of Japan has pledged to perform a quadruple in the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia to claim gold. A quadruple jump is so difficult that even many male skaters opted out of it in this year's Olympics.
Japanese media reported on Monday that Asada practiced jumps with Evgeni Plushenko, who won a silver medal in the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
Plushenko's quadruple jumps are legendary. After he won gold in the 2006 Olympics in Turin, he came back to defend the title, but ended up with silver. In the official practice for the figure skating exhibition gala, he easily nailed a quadruple toe loop. Asada and Plushenko took pictures together, Asada kissing him on the cheek. After the practice, Asada said, "I was happy to skate with him, and it was great to watch his skating and quadruple jump close up."
Plushenko was quoted as saying, "Although she seems to have trouble with landings, she has sharp rotations. I can help. I would love to train with her if she wants to." The foremost goal for Asada is to perfect her triple axel; the quad comes next. It is still uncertain whether she will be able to do a quad with Plushenko's help, but if she does, she will be one of the favorites to win gold in 2014.

People voice all over!
Evan Lysacek is not half the man Johnny Weir is. Lysacek is a liar, hypocrite, azz licker,fake....My points is Brian Joubert sometimes says inappropriate things, criticize his opponents, but he never hides his personality,at least he is honest. He is not trying to make himself loved..But Lysacek is a poser, wanna be,cry baby, grins all the time..
- that it cost him a lot in life (and with US skating federation) ... but just because that, him and love all skating fans and those who know to appreciate the human character
than "someone"
