Very catchy love it!! Original video cut in an upper- & a lower half!
Yes, I love this song, Alors on dance, Stromae is a very nice "discovery"
I find very important to stress that the song is not a joyful invitation to dance, as the title and the catchy tune might suggest at first, but it's a harsh denunciation of Capitalism and its evils, as we can easily understand from these lines:
Alors on danse…
In English:
Who says close-down said mourning
Because the problems never come alone.
Who says crisis says world, says world famine, says third world.
So we need to forget all the problems
So let's dance...
In Italiano:
Chi dice chiusure dice lutto,
Allora balliamo...
Sometimes, apparently "easy" songs talk about very important issues. The same thing happens with an old success of Phil Collins, Another Day in Paradise, the title would suggest a dream of love, but it's a song dedicated to the plight of homeless.
Can you perceive the great compassion inside his voice?
