2011 Grand Prix series final medal count: Russia on top

Seven competitions around the world, concluding with the Grand Prix Final that was just completed in Quebec City, Canada, and it was Russia that took home the most hardware with two years to go before Sochi, Russia, hosts the 2014 Winter Olympics. Russia also took the most titles, with seven, though none of them were at the Grand Prix Final.

Japan came in second in the medal count with 14, with the United States and Canada taking 12 each. With the Grand Prix Final complete, the figure skating world turns its attention to the national championships in each country before reconvening for the year-end major championships in the new year.
