Hi Evgeni!

After your wonderful performances of "Mack the Knife" I was wondering if you were thinking maybe something jazz or swing themed for your new programs? I would like to suggest "Take Five" for your short, it's a nice upbeat tune with plenty of speed and pizazz, lots of room for the jumps and footwork.

I'm also hoping you do another ballet-themed program! I really loved Nijinsky and I think your style would make for a beautiful Baryshnikov-themed program, or perhaps Nureyev. You look very graceful and beautiful when you move like a dancer on the ice. Perhaps something from Nutcracker or a Prince solo from Swan Lake would be apt?

For your galas, I have to say that while I loved both Je Suis Malade and Svetcha, I loved Mack the Knife more. I would love to see more of your satirical humour in your galas! Something fun and upbeat would be great :)

THANK GOD someone mentioned Baryshnikov.
He is the representation of a great artist-dancer who was never scared to dare and bring change and innovation in his field even though his actual training was strictly Russian classical. Baryshnikov's moves and choreography are still up-to-date and TRULY worth looking into!!

Thanks for that link! I did not know this cover. This is one of my favourite DM songs - but I never thought of DM in connection with skating.

As I mentioned before I like DM and find the cover interesting - but without the voice of Dave Gahan something is missing. In a show program the original song could be used - or what about the song "One Caress"?
For short or long program I still would prefer next time a pure classical piece (without pop-elements, electronic, ...). I still like the rondo of Dvorak. This time with a link:

Exactly my point, which is why I think he'd be able to reinterpret Baryshnikov much better than anyone else could

I hope he does, I loved Nijinsky so, so much.
