OK - here is ours videos from Group training ... they practice Opening & Finale. Choreographer was, as I already said, Massimo Scali....

The atmosphere there was rather chaotic, and they are more fun than "work" .... which is, of course, necessary, when someone is a top professional in what he does, and every opportunity for fun is welcome since they are constantly on the road, going from show to show, from competitions to the competition ...

In 16 minutes of the 1st camera, I collected all the interesting moments - serious and funny ...
2nd video was filmed by Dimi, and there are just funny moments, shooted from the opposite side.

The first day, Plushy was, by me - very cheerful and joked a lot (you could see that on the video from "individual training") - about that, I am disagree with Dimi.

In addition to the famous joke, where Plushy talking and singing to Sasha, Johnny and Suruya ... pay attention on Plushy's gentle smile, while watching Johnny & Sasha dance, or at Tomas with his girlfriend Nathalie ... also, do not miss on 6:30", where Plushy surreptitiously throws at the boy in front of him (I think, pieces of styrofoam) - I noticed that only at home, in the video... and many more other funny moments

My report!

I have to write a report but I do not know from where to begin, I m watching some videos from the practices and I remember nothing, really! It was my first time I was watching the practices of a show, the behind the scenes and I was really with open mouth. I want to say thanx to Max and Official Site for letting us get inside the magic world and I hope we ve done a good work with Cekoni!


First when I arrived in Prague I wanted so much to sleep that when Cekoni sent me a message to meet I was already dreaming of my bed. Anyway I went to find Cekoni and it was so nice cause I havent seen her since our legendary Euros 2010 in Tallin ( I really REALLY missed Lila in this trip, I had her all day in my mind, I think she would have made it special, and also Rie and Lelo!) and we went together in the arena and we were inside out because the practices had not started yet. Sara also came with her friend Mario, we saw Johnny arriving and Sara Meier and some other skaters, I have NO idea how Plush landed in the building cause we were covering all exits but well, he did enter and we didnt see him! But at some point I heard that Plushy is playing tennis so we run inside but when we reached the door I cowered and stayed outside , just peeping inside from the keyhole. I dont know, suddenly I was embarrassed to enter while he was playing but Cekoni is brave and enter immediately with camera, to make Plushy understand what kind of weekend he was about to have!


So I was staying outside and then Evgeni went to the arena to have some basic rehearsal with Massimo and I didnt reach close at first, I dont know why. First of all they had not covered the entrance that was pure ice so it was very difficult to enter the main arena side and it was too slippery! But then they covered it with some carpet so we could walk in and out. So I was sitting at the verge of the arena and at some point Plushy was going out and stopped, touched my shoulder and said Hi, how are you? I didnt understand if he remembered me at first and he was very serious, so I was really searching for words, all I said, fine, nice to see you, and I left. I know I m too stupid but I wasn't prepared thats why I thought I better move before I say something more stupid! Then he came back and continue his training, not much intense training, he was learning the choreo of the opening and closing numbers, and strolling around with the other skaters. He was wearing a gap shirt, I want to say white looks GREAT on him!

Hmm, I dont know if you have seen the show but I expected Tomas to be the headliner but nope, Evgeni was. I realized it the moment Massimo took Evgeni alone for the opening and closing number, the rest were learning the choreo together. I dont know if you can see from training videos but what surprised me is that Evgeni catches the choreo he is taught at a glance, he was just looking Massimo doing for him the steps and the next moment he did them all immediately, I was like woaa! Then Caruso started , Plushy hugged a girl which I m not sure who she is, maybe his assistant they say and then sat next to Vitaly and there I cracked up, with a rose in his hand..Then he skated Carouso and I cant describe how ethereal he is in practice, even without the jumps and intense, he is dreamy! I kept looking at his edges and feet, he has so sure steps..When Evgeni practiced his number almost everybody stopped to watch him, you know , like being privileged to watch him skate. Organizers were treating Evgeni with respect and seriousness, and were talking to him a lot, it was clear he was well taken care of with special treatment.


Then Evgeni while they were rehearsing music was standing next to me and was telling a joke to Sasha Cohen, I didnt hear what he was saying because of the loud music but Sasha and Surya -especially Surya- were laughing out loud and at some point Plu was singing, I m curious what they were saying! In general Evgeni was very friendly in that practice with all skaters and very goofy, in good mood and so cute.

I want to say that he was throwing 3loop, 3salcow and 3lutz for breakfast, with the ease we walk, with minimum warm up and training, and he was training and dancing by the music of Cohen and others. I really like talking to Evgeni but when he is on ice alone he is something else, it is like a fish in the water, let him swim! And I really want him to do a jazzy number, he has such rhythm inside him and the arms, these arms are the salt and peper of his skating!I also think I saw a flip, but I need to check the videos again! I want to see if he is going to change the minor wrong edge he has in it!

Sara and Mario were also with us and we learnt that Evgeni will play football after and Mario also will be there, he was on his team and of course they won! Then Mario went backstage with Plushy and the other boys to take a bath and we told him to take the camera with him, but ...he didnt!


So an hour from the show and we were searching our evening passes, Ola came to the company and then we found Mr PR of the show that gave us our passes and was leading to us to our seats next to the ice!!!!While we were entering the arena Plushy was leaving the main corridor to go get dressed and he waved hi, NOBODY of us saw him and just me before the corner turned and saw him and waved hi but very embarassed so he laughed. I told Sara, hey Evgeni just passed by but we are all idiots and ignored him! LOL! Anyway we took our seats and show began and guess who opened the show!

I saw Evgeni from the opposite corner, the yellow head was shinning in the dark, and the red tshirt like the one he had in China and he was ready to enter, warming up, audience went ecstatic and then the rest of skaters followed, he went out again after Tomas and the other Czech guy I cant spell his name, and show began! I really liked Shen/Zhao and Natalie/Fabian, Sasha and Tomas, Evgeni came last and I suspected it would be a dramatic number cause he wore the black shirt with the diagonal red design. And I heard Tosca( in rehearsals they didnt play this music). Oh my I was so absorbed, Tosca is my fav number, I felt like when I saw godfather first time. (lelo do you remember how I screamed when I heard godfather notes in torino gala?). Tosca was dreamy, he was really flying, audience was hypnotized and he got so nerve, such attitude, you know, the Plu -on -ice mode!

Then first part ended but I didnt move, I tried to figure out how my camera works, plushy was getting all blurred and too shiny in my photos, so the second part started and it was better than the first, at this part the presenter was talking to skaters after their performance. Sara Meier was very nice, and Natalie and Fabian did their jungle program, Shen/Zhao did turnadot and then it was Evgeni´s time again, to close the show, this time with his gorgeous pink shirt he was holding a rose that he gave to a lady who smiled wide and then Carouso program started, the guy singing was a bit off the tone but I didnt care, Evgeni was really so spectacular, he fills the arena and this music always reminds me of Torino 2006 Gala, it is special and he likes this music a lot. He threw a triple axel out of nowhere in the dark and two more triples and even when he doubles he sells his jump like it is the most difficult thing! Then presenter told him I have prepared 126 questions for you, at this moment I thought :LOL, SO DO WE! But then he told him I ll say one, YOU MUST SKATE IN SOCHI. :)) Evgeni took the microphone, thanked the audience like a gentleman and he declared he will come back next season, the girl that you hear screaming at this announcement is Sara! Then he wished good luck to Tomas and the show ended, Johnny and Surya were dancing like crazy and as Evgeni passed by in the ending he waved us :)

So show ended and we went to hotel, not official cause it was far, since Evgeni had said Cekoni he will meet us before the second show, there was no reason to search for him at this point! Next day autographs session was taking place somewhere is a mall but Evgeni didnt go but poor Cekoni went anyway with no fortune! So he came to arena early and played tennis again, before the warm up. This time in warm up I was looking at him, he was serious, he was very concentrated, they rehearsed the show for a very short time and then he was training alone, and when I mean training he was seriously training, the whole process of warming up, doing doubles, triples and then quads and he was so serious I didnt dare to even wave or something, we were sitting in our corner and watching. He was not in the best of moods, you know, serious, distant, when you see him like this you dont want to bother him. And I was scared he will phone in our meeting,. But Cekoni reminded him about the interview and he said before show and kept training, so me and Sara were rehearsing some questions you had posted on the forum for us to ask him, we really rehearshed a lot. A very funny moment was when some girls had won a competition and came to arena to meet skaters, the organiser said to skaters Please say hello to kids who came for you, Evgeni passed by said : Hello KIDS, and then turned to organiser and said These are 18 years old girls, NO KIDS, and left! I cant describe it well but he was in this humorous mood, funny Plushy, the poor girls left staring at him speechless.


Then Evgeni went for football again and the meeting was supposed to be before the show and after football so I started feeling like collapsing, Cekoni was trying to make me stand still but I was walking from one side of the corridor to the other and at the end I hid in the toilet. When Evgeni came out he went for bath and then came out backstage and I heard the voice of Cekoni calling DIMIII, so I said this was it. I dont know why I was not in good mood, probably I was afraid cause Evgeni didnt seem in a great mood either and I was afraid he would be serious and distant and we wouldnt be able to ask him stuff.

But the moment we approached his face was different, he was smiley and cute and welcomed us and at first we didnt open the camera, we asked him about his health, thanked him about his time he gave to us and talked to him about his hard training, he told us he is tired and it was a difficult training this day and then the interview happened, that you all saw. I know there are some points we speak simultaneously and loud etc but we made progress from the past, Lila do you remember Tallin that Evgeni was puzzled from all of us jumping around him and talking all together? This time we tried to restrain ourselves but please forgive us, it is not SO easy to do the right thing in front of Evgeni. Evgeni called also Vitaly who was sitting in the corner (he was a little shy) and introduced him to us and then started talking about his training and future plans, I was like, wow he speaks alone so much we didnt even ask him. He was cute and funny and really cooperative, I bet he saw we were in panic and he behaved normal, like it is very normal to speak to Mr Plushenko! Anyway after the first part we told him we had some questions from forum and he was really giving us his time cause the show was about to start in 20 minutes!!! I didnt believe he would sit so much time but he did! :) I really have no words about how funny he was and how cheerful even so tired and when I asked him about fans ideas his face was like a kid caught eating marmelade! I really explained to him that it was impossible for anyone to read all the proposals for his programs and he laughed, I think you know why! Anyway at the end we gave him a book, it is a cartoon book me and cekoni made about his life, we forgot to take a picture of it, in all the panic!






I also gave him a bathtube boat for his bath that I got from MOMA museum. I m not sure he got what it is although I explained him! He was looking at it a little strange! And Cekoni gave him honey to eat in the morning, so he can be strong and have energy! Then we took pictures and we hugged Evgeni, and he dragged Ola on his side (lucky girl) cause I was hidding her!

The body question: We had seen the questions people had sent and seen one and were laughing with Sara to ask him, what he thinks about having the best butt in fs! Of course we were making fun of it, we didnt intend to say THIS. Then the interview was about to end and I heard Sara asking him the body question. With all the noise and stuff I heard butt instead of body and I collapsed on the wall from embarassment and laughter! Evgeni heard spine and had a puzzled look, like what the hell they are talking about!!! Then Sara repeated her question showing him with gesture that she means BODY, I really cant describe the moment Evgeni realised this, and it really loses in the video the whole feeling, but he had this smirk of a little embarassing and flattered, it was hilarious, maybe the best question ever, if only for his reaction, Bravo Brave Sara!

So we left for second show and we had different seats this time so I lost the girls and I sat with Karen and her wonderful company who had come from England to see Evgeni!!! This show was much better than the previous one, all skaters were really performing, Evgeni´s Tosca was fierce and I was left speechless and at some point he comes towards our site with THE LOOK and my camera failed to photo him! Even electronic devices are intimidated by him! He went out to see Johnny and Tomas skating and the Czech guy and Vitaly was with him, actually Vitaly is following and observing Evgeni EVERYWHERE! Second part after Carouso , a standing ovation, people didnt stop clapping, it was an amazing moment, Evgeni was waiting until the audience to calm down and he said again for Sochi and invited audience to support Tomas at Worlds, I really really sensed Evgeni had some sadness and he would want to skate as a competitor in Moscow..that was my feeling. Also what stroke me was that after Tomas failed to to some jumps in his encore, Evgeni went out and threw again 3axel like butter. I mean you then see the difference, I really respect and like Tomas but he is supposed to compete in few days and Evgeni is not even in competition mode but his jumps were textbook.

While in the break Cekoni saw Evgeni preparing for second part and I want to tell you that Evgeni is doing a lot of process and prepares really painfully so to have the skates we see in the limelight, he has my eternal respect for this. Vitaly is really there for him and helps him a lot in off ice training and cure of any of his wounds, I think what Evgeni does is heroic and beyond any human imagination!For me it is supernatural his strength, body and mind and this is what distinguishes very good skaters like Tomas from athletes like Evgeni.

At the end we were just seating outside arena and there was a big black car witht the doors open just outside the main door, Cekoni said this is for Evgeni, I said no way, but it came out she was right! All skaters were leaving the arena with their bags, walking through fans and waited in the parking, Evgeni went out with his hoodies and people around, Vitaly and entered the car and left!

And me, Sara, Super Mario, Karen and Cekoni went for drinks!I hope next time we meet more girls!
